This is a well-written, clean, Amish fiction, and one I think you will enjoy. I give it five stars.
Melinda Stauffer is Amish to the very core. She has no desire to leave her church or her community. She has difficulties convincing her doctor, Todd McWilliams, of that. Obviously, not many women have resisted the handsome man's charms, especially Nurse Trudy. She tries to warn Melinda away.
Melinda goes home, pondering the depth of her health affliction and the probability that, no matter how careful she is, it will recur, sending her over and over again to the hospital. The young man she thought was contemplating courtship dumped her for another young woman while she was away with this most recent illness.
It's probably for the best. In an Amish household, every hand is needed, every person busy all day every day. No Amish man should be saddled with a wife who can't pull her share of the load.
Another young man, Timothy Brennemann, tries hard to convince her otherwise while the doctor tries to convince her to run away with him. Melinda firmly and quietly resists both.
Until ... Oh, wait. I can't tell you that. You'll need to buy the book. Available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
I was given a free copy of this book by the author, but my opinions are my own.
