When a person is young, sometimes they fall in love more than once.
Kim Goodman fell in love as a teenager with Carl Evans. However, after high school he went into the Air Force, and it wasn't long before stopped writing. His parents received a few--a very few--with little more information other than that he was still alive. Kim didn't get any letters at all.
Kim went on with her life, went into college, and became engaged to another man--who also stopped communicating with her for no apparent reason.
