I can't stop weeping, but everyone else is the same. We're in this room with all the entrances barred--the disciples, my mother, Jesus's mother, Mary Magdalene, and several others who were close to Jesus. Whether He was really God's Son or not, all of us here loved Him as dearly as anyone in our own families.
Why the barred doors? Well, the priests have said we should also be crucified. Even the women. Our only sin in their eyes is that we believed He was the coming Savior. And now ... well, we don't know what to believe. We are afraid too that we could be captured and suffer the same fate He did, and that's why the doors are barred.
I wonder if we'll ever feel safe again.
