Book Review - HOSEA'S HEART by Linda Wood Rondeau

Every once in a while I get to read a book that makes my heartstrings play sad and beautiful music. This one has that element. Five stars, Linda Wood Rondeau. Thank you for this book.

Aubrey Beaumont is a pastor with a runaway wife. Deep into drugs that rule her life, she leaves her husband and three small children again and again. The last time was maybe for good. Joanna'd never left a goodbye note before, but this time she did. The note said, "Don't try to find me." But of course he does try.

Aubrey doesn't know, fifteen years later, if she's dead or alive, but too many things remind him of her, especially the smell of cinnamon. Joanna always drank cinnamon tea.

After fifteen years, there's finally a woman who attracts his attention. Trouble is, she also attracts the attention of Aubrey's best friend, Fischer, a private detective who had managed to find the woman who is the daughter of one of his parishioners. Percy suffers from the beginning of Alzheimer's and is immensely grateful to have his daughter back while he can still recall her.

And then ... Well, maybe you should find out for yourself. Available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

I was given a free copy of this book by the author, but my opinions are my own.
