Book Review--RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (Book 1 of 12 Days of Christmas) by Kathi Macias
This is a novella by one of my favorite authors, and it's especially close to my heart not just because of its quality but because Kathi invited me to also share a story, so mine will be volume ten. I hope you'll hang in there and also give mine a try.
A note I heard on September 3: This book has gone to Amazon's best seller list already!
Megan Bosworth has a problem. The man she's been dating has asked her to marry him. That shouldn't sound like such a problem. She liked Marty Givens, maybe even loved him. He was a good Christian man, kindhearted, but very persistent. He wants to announce their engagement to their parents on Christmas Eve. Megan isn't so sure she wants to that soon, but like I said, he's persistent.
Megan finds herself avoiding contact with him while she ponders not only his question but also the events that always surround Christmas in her life: Decorating the house with strings of popcorn and cranberries, just as her grandmother had, and singing Christmas carols at the Veterans' Home where she often visited the residents.
How she wished her grandfather was still alive to dispense his wisdom to her! Somehow she had to discern the right course of action to take with Marty. What would God have her do? One of the veterans makes a comment about rules of engagement. It sticks in her head. She should find out more.
Rules of Engagement is available from Amazon, e-book only at this time. Click on the name of the store above for a direct link. I'm not sure how long it will remain at this price, but for now it's only $0.99!
The book will will soon be on Barnes and Noble and on Kobo Books (no direct link, I'm sorry--they don't have it up yet).
Even better than 99 cents: Would you like to win one of three FREE books????? Leave a comment below WITH YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, please, so Kathi knows how to contact you.

Ewww, I would. My email is stacyharp@gmail.com which she has already.
I would love to have this book. I am a low point right now and could really use a good lift right now.

Oh, dear--I forgot to mention that you have one week to make your comments. Obviously, the two above made the deadline. ;)
