However, I
don’t want to “bow out” of all responsibility in the church. I’m not quite
ready to retire entirely! So I’m doing some praying, but think I have found a
new niche. Nope, not saying yet what it is.
God doesn’t
always keep folks doing the same thing. Maybe you’ve sung in the choir with a
beautiful voice for umpty-ump years—but then for whatever reason the voice
deteriorates. Does that mean you should quit church? Silly thought. God still
has use for you.
Or maybe you
become disabled. What then? As long as your brain still works, you can still
pray. One of the best pray-ers I’ve ever known was a lady who couldn’t move
more than a couple of fingers. She had live-in help to get her through her
life. But she could pray—and did.
You will
never be useless. God still has a job for you as long as you are here on this
earth. And when you get to heaven? Who knows—you might be singing in the
heavenly choir, polishing the angel’s harps, scrubbing the streets of gold,
preparing for the banquet…Who knows what great and glorious things God has in
store for you?

Like the ideas presented. I'm playing for a small church as I did as a teen. Played in orchestras, sang for many years in choirs and also just went to church. Hopefully I will play in God's orchestra someday after I meet Jesus and see family. Like the idea about Miriam and Pharaoh's daughter. Will look forward to reading them.
Thanks, Connie!
Blessings on your week.
