Galations 6:1: "My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted."
Maybe a friend or loved one has jumped into things that are destructive--drugs, alcohol, promiscuity, etc.--and they want to get free but don't know how. Or maybe it's even you. There is a Way free of the destructive one. So far as I know, there's only One Way that has a proven track record of freeing a person and keeping them free.
You know what I'm going to say, don't you?
It's Jesus. He knows how to free you and/or your friend. He knows the way.
If you as Him, He will set a path before you or your friend. You (or your friend), on the other hand, have to be willing to follow that path wherever it leads. However hard it is. Jesus never promised an easy life. He promised peace. He promised to seek us wherever we strayed. He promised to walk with us through the valleys and on the mountaintops. He promised us eternal life. But if anything, He said our lives would have its share of heartache and hardships.
Sometimes the heartaches and hardships are of our own makings, aren't they? Sometimes we want the sympathy more than we want healing or freeing. Warning, warning, warning--this could be hazardous to your health.
Restoration is a two-way action--or rather three-way. You walk toward the light, and the light will walk toward you. It's our jobs to help others find that path WHEN THEY WANT TO SEEK IT. We can't seek it for them. I can't seek it for you.
But I can be there to help you stay on the path, to help you tell the difference between the God-lit paths and those deceptive paths of the enemy.

Lord God, this day could be a heavy one. Please remind folks you will carry the heavy burdens and they can carry yours, which are light and much easier to carry than their own. Thank You for carrying my burdens when I could not. Thank You for calling my friends to You, promising all of Your grace to them. I love You, Lord. In Your precious Son's Name I pray, amen.
