Book Review - THE SKY ABOVE US by Sarah Sundin

I've yet to read a story by this lady that wasn't first class, five-star writing, and she's earning a great reputation for her World War Two inspirational romances. Her writing is tight and tense, her historical connections fascinating (and true!), and her characters so real they step off the pages. Thank you, Sarah Sundin, for entertaining us while providing WWII history lessons!

This is the second in a series (Sunrise at Normandy) about three brothers separated by unforgiving anger and deadly decisions. The first of the series was about Wyatt, a Naval officer, in The Sea Before Us. In this one, The Sky Above Us, Adler has to overcome all the middle-child, second-place, hand-me-down syndrome. He's a great pilot, but is forced to play wing man. Wing men don't get the title of "ace" for shooting down five enemy planes, and he wants that title in the worst way. Maybe even more than he wants to earn the smile of Red Cross worker Violet.

This riveting book is available in several different formats: Hard copies (like libraries have), paperbacks, digital (Kindle and Nook), and audiobook, and audio cds. Take your pick at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Christianbook.com.

I was given a free copy of this book by the publisher, but I still reserve the right to state my own opinions.
