Book Review - A ROAD CALLED LOVE by Murray Pura

Another Murray Pura spectacular love story/adventure/suspense. This is one of your best, Murray, and I loved it.

Sisters Michal and Tabitha Troyer share a deep love for each other. Both are in Rumspringa, that time of freedom between age sixteen and whenever they decide (or if) to be baptized and become Amish. So, on her sixteenth birthday, Tabatha runs away with a biker.

So her parents beg Michal, who is resignedly deciding to stay home and be straightlaced Amish, and Gideon (Milwaukee) Bachman, who is also in Rumspringa but has already had "that talk" with the Amish elders, to go after her. Mr. and Mrs. Troyer already know Tabi is or has been in Florida because they've received postcards from her from there.

So, off Milwaukee and Michal (soon to become "Roadburn") in search of the impossible--finding her sister somewhere between Florida and Washington state. Along the way, they discover the journey is not just for finding her sister, but also to discover themselves and each other. Despite the temptation, they remain Amishly chaste,

About the time you decide this is really just a sweet love story between two young Christians, along comes trouble with a capital "T." I lost a good bit of sleep after that happened, and I'm pretty sure you will too.

However, you should go along on their adventure cum tragedy....if you dare. Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

I received a free copy of this from the author, but he didn't request anything.
