John and Hannah had experienced every parent's nightmare--the loss of their baby. Hannah has sunk into a silent depression. John mechanically goes through the necessities of each day, providing food to eat and a fire to keep them warm. He doesn't know how to reach his wife. She's lost in a world where he doesn't exist.
