Book Review--NEVER TOO OLD by Sue Badeau

This is the third story in the Summer in Sweetland series. Never Too Old is a heartwarming story about a family whose love is much too big for just their own house.

Celia and Homer Evers have six adopted children of their own, full-time jobs, and the usual school activities with their kids, but somehow they and their youngsters, especially Jackie, find themselves reaching out to others over and over. One of Celia and Homer's kids is a resident of the local juvenile detention facility, and they worry about him--one of the boys there had been found dead of an apparent suicide.

Jackie is friends with a few girls at the local group home for teenage girls, and she and her family get involved there too. Is it too late for these girls to find adoptive families? Jackie doesn't think so. Neither does Celia--who, by the way is one of the caseworkers for the Depart of Social Services.

No, I can't tell you the rest of the story. That would totally spoil it for you, because you are going to go to Amazon, aren't you? You need to pick up a copy for sure. It's only 99 cents.
