Holy Week - Sunday Son-Rise

Oh, the joy of this day! He is risen, Hallelujah!

The time of mourning is over. Can you feel the jubilation Mary felt when Jesus called her by name?

She had come to see to his proper burial (lots of spices), probably thinking gloomy thoughts about Good Friday and the way He died. And now here someone had rolled the heavy boulder aside and His body was gone.

She cried. And then she saw someone--maybe the gardener. She could ask him. And then He spoke her name. That's all, just her name. It was Him! Alive! She reached for Him, maybe to give Him a joyful hug. But He said, "Don't touch me. I haven't yet ascended to my Father."

And then the disciples. When Mary told them the news, John and Peter raced back to the garden. They saw the tomb, the stone rolled away, the folded bindings. He had risen, indeed. Oh, the joy of that morning!

Feel it, take this into your own heart. Ask Him, and He will enter. Seek Him, and you will find. Knock, and His door will open to you. You, too may feel the peace that passes understanding, the core of joy that never leaves, the guiding Light for the dark path.

God bless you.
