This Is My Story - Heidi Glick

Anne: Today's story of a person's experience with God comes from Heidi Glick, one of my precious critique family.

Heidi: I accepted Jesus as my savior at an early age. And since then, God has brought me through a lot.

As an undergrad, I didn’t think I could pass my college classes. I prayed, and God got me through.

I thought I’d never date, let alone marry, and God brought me a wonderful husband.

I thought we’d never purchase our first house, let alone our second, but God provided.

When my husband and I have needed jobs and money, God has provided.

When we first got married, my husband and I needed money for moving. I found extra money in our bank account and notified my employer they made a mistake. They informed me that the money was from a retroactive raise and mine to keep.

When my dad was diagnosed with a terminal illness, God said to me, “Your dad is going to die, but it’s going to be okay.” Two months ago, God took my father home to heaven.

Currently, my husband and I are undergoing fertility treatments and looking into adoption as we seek God’s will for us to start a family.

The Christian life is not always easy, but along the way, God has proved to me that He is trustworthy.

God had been my friend.

God has been my strength.

God has been my healer.

God has been my hope.

Recently, I read Lamentations 3:31-32, “The Lord will not cast off forever. Though He causes grief, yet He will show compassion according to the multitude of His mercies.” God will bring beauty from the current "ashes" of my life, and when He does, I look forward to sharing this with others also.

Life is hard, whether you are a Christian or not. I choose to go through life with God on my side, helping me and guiding me through my days.
