I fear for the Master's life. He has angered priests and temple leaders over and over, and today He unleashed His temper on the Scribes and Pharisees. Like whiplashes landing on bare backs, he attacked their lies and greed and lust for power.
Even the Sadducees. They don't believe in heaven, remember? They tried to trick Him, asking Him if a woman married each of seven brothers when the older one died, whose wife she would be in heaven. He just shook His head and told them they were mistaken. In heaven, He said, we are like the angels, neither being married nor getting married. He cursed the scribes and Pharisees with seven woes. I am afraid when he pronounced those, He sealed His own fate.
The others and I might not be enough to hold the temple guards back from killing the Master. We need to look to our swords.
