Book Review - THE ONE by RD Palmer

The genre on this one is a combination of Amish and Sci-fi (or speculative fiction, as it's sometimes called). A human invention of artificial general intelligence (AGI) has taken over the world. At first invented to stop wars and improve existence, the AGI exceeds its design and seems to aim at stamping out human existence like a plague infesting the world. It's up to one reluctant young Amish girl to kill it. I'll give it four stars.

I found the story to be good, although a little predictable. However, I was put off by the few incidences of swearing. Granted, not all that many instances, but enough to make this little ol' great-grandma cringe.

Available from Amazon.
