Monday Morning Devo - My Prayer for Your 2019

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31, NKJV

This is my prayer for your 2019. Remember--these blessings belong to those who ask of the Lord.

I don't wish you a life of ease; instead, I pray you will have tribulation to strengthen you.

I don't wish you a lack of turmoil; instead, I pray that you will find God's peace in the midst of the turmoil.

I don't wish you adulation from all you meet; instead, I pray you will have a little adversity to help you learn to love the unlovable.

I don't wish you constant happiness; instead, I pray you will learn to find joy in small moments.

I don't wish you consistent "yes's" to all your prayers; instead, I pray you will be accepting of God's answers.

I don't wish you instant gratification; instead, I pray that you will learn to wait and act with patience and wisdom.

I don't wish vengeance upon your enemies; instead, I pray that you will forgive as you have been forgiven.

Let grace be abundant, let life be sincere, and let hope be unending. God bless you.

Amen.
