Book Review - AN HOUR UNSPENT by Roseanna M. White

I love reading Roseanna White's books. She combines history, intrigue, and romance in just the right measure to keep you reading far past your bedtime. Despite the lack of sleep, I wish I could give this more than five stars.

I love the way the hero (Barclay) tries to amend his thieving ways. He's recently decided to follow Jesus, you see, and stealing doesn't exactly line up with the Bible. The problem is that V, a man in the Admiralty, employed him and his family to get things  or information the Admiralty wanted.

And Evelina Manning. The cool, collected fiance' of the wealthy and prominent Basil Philibert, destined to be a political pundit. Exactly what mother and Aunt Beatrice wanted. When he breaks their engagement--in an armed forces uniform, no less--her carefully constructed world shatters.

Get it. You know you want it. Available from Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

I received a free advance copy of this book from the publisher, but my opinions are my own.
