Book Review - UNLIKELY MERGER by multiple authors
Put a bunch of authors together, get them to brainstorming, and what happens? A basic plot with a suspended conclusion. Several of my favorite people are writers in this book, and I'm really pleased to be able to review it here and give them as well as the ones I don't know a pat on the back.
The premise of this book is a grabber by itself. Picture this: A multi-billion-dollar company enjoys former mergers with struggling but promising small companies. Before, Mercy Lacewell's father Henry--the owner--had made the personal trips to these various companies all over the US, but a stroke had laid him low. He had recovered to some degree, but would not be able to handle the stress and long hours of traveling to and meeting with executives of those companies.
So Mercy stiffens her back and sets out. Maddie--her Father's administrative assistant--insists she should also be on the watch for a SAM (single available male). Of course, they show up in every chapter. This is romantic fiction after all. The big question is which one of these SAMs will Mercy settle on. Oh--and which companies will get the nod. Of course.
I'm not going to be the one to tell you. You'll need to buy the book. Available at Amazon. For free, by the way, if you have Kindle Unlimited.

I'm sorry for the new restrictions on commenting--spam has gotten out of control, and I'm trying to stop the problem. Before the comments show up on the blog, I will now need to approve them. Don't panic. If your comment isn't spam or just plain ugly, it will show up later.
Thanks, Anne. It was a great deal of fun writing with such an amazing group of women!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean--probably more fun for the writers than the readers!
