Book Review - RETURN TO CHRISTMAS by Kathi Macias

I really love getting a book by Kathi Macias. I know it's going to be well written, it will reach the heart, and it will be engrossing and inspirational. God will always be first in her books, something I personally count to be of primary importance.

Chet Mason is a returned vet, one who lost his best buddy in the Middle East to an IED, nearly losing his own life in the process. He often wishes he could trade his buddy places, even though he has a beautiful and sweet wife, Jeneen, and a cute little live-wired three-year-old, Kevin.

Chet battles depression and tries to control his temper, but it's so hard. He wants to give up.

Jeneen isn't so far from giving up herself. Chet has difficulty holding onto a job, so she went back to work to try to catch up with the bills, even though she knows Chet resents it.

He takes care of Kevin on the days when he's not working--and that's about to become full time, because his latest construction job is over. Jeneen is frightened by that--sometimes Chet drinks too much, and she worries about their little guy.

So what will happen in this little family as they approach Christmas? Will they become just one more statistic?

They could use a little help. You can get the book and help them through to the end. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Christian Book Distributors.

I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.
