Book Review: DRAWING FIRE by Janice Cantore
Janice Cantore was a police officer herself, which explains why she really nails the police-type characters in her novels. Her books are all page turners, and I do love her books, this one included.
Drawing Fire is about a young woman with a mission: to reopen the cold case where her parents were murdered in a horrible fire. She nearly lost her own life in the same fire, but a kind man carried her, then six years old, to safety. She's now Detective Abby Hart, a sharp and hard police woman with a soft corner or two.
An old woman has been killed, leaving her small dog homeless. Abby can't bring herself to leave the friendly little dog at the humane society. He seems to like her.
Abby has a fiance' who doesn't approve of her obsession with solving this old case. He tells her she has to learn to forgive.
Funny thing about this most recent murder--it has ties to the current governor of the state, who also has ties to her parents. And so does the nosy private eye who keeps asking her questions about that old, cold case.
And then there are more murders.
You can solve this mystery by buying the book from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Christian Book Distributors.
