Monday Morning Devo - They Who Mourn

"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." (KJV)

I don't think there is any pain deeper than mourning. Nor is there any time when we can draw nearer to God and He to us. Sometimes in the time alone, and sometimes when others come to us. And when the pain has diminished, we can help others.

What greater gift can we give after He has comforted us? When we give comfort to the least of His beloveds, we give back to Him.

Prayer: Father God, I ask that You grant comfort to all those who mourn this day. Send them friends, angels from You. And Lord, those of us who have mourned and have received comfort, guide us to those who need comforting. Thank You, blessed Lord.
