Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, or of good report; if there be any virtue or praise, I will blog on these things. ~ Anne Baxter Campbell

Saturday Sermonette - How to be a Grownup, Lesson 6
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:1, NKJV
Listening. Okay, if that's not a challenge, nothing is. We live in a hurry, go, get-'er-done world. Who has time to sit down and pay absolute one-on-one attention to whoever it is that wants to talk to us? Or really hear not only what they're saying but what they're not saying? Can you see their expressions of pain or need and feel them echo in your heart?
You've heard this before: God gave us two eyes, two ears, and one mouth. What do you think? Maybe listening is more important than talking? Than lectures?
Oh, look at me. I'm lecturing yet again. Oops.
So--what do you want to tell me?
Lord, help us become the listeners You need in this noisy world. Thank You!
