Book Review - THE BOOK OF EZRA: A STORY OF PROVISION AND PROTECTION by Deborah H. Bateman

The Book of Ezra: A Story of Provision and Protection (Daily-Bible-Reading Series)This is a daily Bible Reading aid (or Bible study) for the Book of Ezra in the Old Testament. I would recommend it more for Christians who have studied the Bible for a while. This one is not a study I'd recommend for new Christians or those unfamiliar with reading the Bible.

The Israelites had been given the blessing and temporal goods from the king of Persia (Artaxerxes) to return to Israel and rebuild the temple which had been destroyed when the Babylonians took the Israelites captive. When Ezra arived there, he found that the remnant who had stayed in Israel had intermarried with the Canaanites, who led them astray to worship other gods.

In this study, Deborah Bateman strives to give readers a deeper look into God's purpose and Ezra's leading. Insightful questions at the end of each lesson guide the student into an analysis of his or her own life and how an impulsive action outside of God's will could lead to hurt to those around, including to those we love.

The study is available free to Amazon Prime members today on Amazon.

Deborah has published five books in the Daily-Bible-Reading Series. They are: The Book of Ruth: A Story of Love and Redemption, The Book of Esther: A Story of Love and Favor, Beatitudes: How to Live a Blessed Life, Finding Our Identity in Christ, and The Book of Ezra: A Story of Provision and Protection. Her latest book is about self-publishing and is called Self-Publishing Simplified: How to Publish a Book on Kindle.
