Book Review - A PASSIONATE HOPE by Jill Eileen Smith

As you've heard me say before, I love a good Biblical fiction--and this one is definitely good. Thank you, Jill Eileen Smith!

You've probably heard of Hannah, the mother of Samuel the prophet. Little is really known of her, other than that she had been barren for many years following her marriage to Elkanah and that his other wife, the ever-fruitful Penninah, taunted her unmercifully. Finally, Eli--the elderly chief priest at the temple--blessed her, and finally she and Elkanah had Samuel.

This novel fleshes out the woman, her husband, his other wife, and their families beautifully. You can buy the book from Amazon or Barnes and Noble or your local bookstore beginning today!

I was given a free copy of this book by the publisher. No requirement was made for a positive review.
