I was so delighted to read the fourth in this romantic comedy by Jen Turano. Jen has a tremendous talent--quite possibly one of the best ever in this genre!
Agatha Watson is in danger in New York, and her family and her employer send her far, far away. To California, no less. Where she finds a pathetic remnant of the man she used to admire most, Zayne Beckett. Her former friend had broken his leg and it had set badly, and then his erstwhile fiancee had dumped him for someone else. It was up to Agatha, her companion Mrs. Swanson, her protector Mr. Blackheart, and an intelligent and affectionate--sometimes--pig named Matilda to rescue him. Difficult, particularly since Mr. Beckett was not in the least bit interested in being rescued.
Difficult, but not impossible. What was difficult was determining who should rescue whom and from what.
