I loved this one--4.5 thumbs UP! Way to go, Loree Lough!
You take your average countrified childless widow, one jilted uncle/pediatrician, and one small orphan that both of them love to distraction, and it adds up to quite a stew.
Eli (the small orphan) has had more tragedy than most people experience in a lifetime. First his dad is killed in Afganistan. Then his mom dies. And his best friend can't walk and gets sick way too easy.
The will says Aunt Taylor has custody of Eli, and Uncle Reece is totally unhappy with that decision. He's mad at her even though she's the one who suggests he should get Eli every other weekend. Even though she shares her time with Eli and even invites Reece to join them for meals and events. Even though she's smart and pretty and generous and sweet. Sweet smelling, too.
And then there's this famous country-western singer who's hanging around way too much at Taylor's bed-and-breakfast. Reece doesn't like that, either.
